Maureen Myant

Maureen Myant has a PhD and MLitt in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow. She is the author of the Glasgow Southside crime series featuring DS Mark Nicholson and DI Alex Scrimgeour. Although both detectives are featured in each of the books, they take turns to have the leading role. In the first, we follow Mark's storyline; in the second, Alex is the main character and so on. The fifth book in the series, The Reckoning, will be published by Hobeck Books on 6th October this year. Maureen is currently writing the sixth in the series. Maureen is also the author of a historical novel, The Search, which is set in wartime Czechoslovakia, Poland and Germany and a standalone psychological drama, What Lies Beneath. A former psychologist, Maureen lives in Glasgow.
