Cheryl was raised in a Mennonite home where she became familiar with the rich Mennonite quilting heritage, but it wasn’t until her mid-30s that she tried quilting for herself. She was hooked immediately. Now, with nearly 20 years of experience as a quilter, she has designed more than 100 patterns under the name Country Quilts. To find out more and browse her growing selection of patterns, visit www.countryquilts.ca.
Cheryl has also self published four books: Old Time Stitchery (2006), Heart and Home (2005), Spring Has Sprung! (2004), and Simple Joys (2003). In addition, her work has been featured in Canadian Quilter (winter 2006), Create and Decorate (June 2006), McCall’s Quilting (February 2004), and on the cover of McCall’s Quick Quilts (November 2004).
A member of the Canadian Quilters’ Association, Wall sells her original designs to quilt shops around the world. She actively participates in quilt guild shows, trade shows, and her local quilting group.
