LETTER FROM THE AUTHOR (AND A FREE RECIPE!)

Hi,

Yoga didn't happen for me in this pristine yoga studio but rather in a a seedy tattoo parlor in London. I found yoga when I was at my unhealthiest and it took me 10 years to get up the nerve to commit to yoga. But in the 15 years I've come to teach while parenting and working full time, I know two things about yoga: 1. it pulls muscle toward bone and therefore makes you thinner, longer and leaner and 2. it curbs your appetite while keeping you calm, thin and inspired. I have now been doing yoga regularly for over 10 years and I'm thinner than my prebaby weight.

Trust me I've tried every fitness trip there is--kettle bells, triathlon, running, ballet, kickboxing, swimming, weights, trainers, the works--and yoga is the the best thing you can do for your body, your mind and your weight.

Also, this book is not what is served up in wacky yoga classes. It's for real people, leading real lives who want to be totally authentic but incredibly healthy. This book is a labor of love but it's also Dr. John Douillard and my answer to healthcare today. Worry about your health and the weight loss will follow.
