MARNIE C. FERREE, MA, LMFT, CSAT

Marnie C. Ferree, M.A., is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Nashville, Tennessee, where she directs Bethesda Workshops, which provides Christian-based treatment for sexual addiction in an intensive setting. The workshop she established in 1997 for female sex addicts was the first of its kind in the country. The program now treats male sex addicts, female sex addicts, partners of sex addicts, couples struggling with sex addiction, and teen females who are acting out sexually.

Her book No Stones: Women Redeemed from Sexual Addiction, was the first Christian book for female sex and love addicts written by a woman personally in recovery. She is also the volume editor and contributing author of Making Advances - A Comprehensive Guide for Treating Female Sex and Love Addicts, which is the first clinical book on this topic. Her latest book is Out of the Doghouse for Christian Men - A Redemptive Guide for Men Caught Cheating, co-authored with Robert Weiss.

Marnie is a national leader in the treatment of sexual addiction, particularly in women. She has earned the designation Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals. She is also the author of a workbook for female sex addicts and numerous clinical and inspirational articles. She also speaks widely at professional and recovery conferences, churches, and schools.

She has been married to David since 1981, and they have two married adult children. She says one of the best things in life is being a “GrandMarnie.”
