David J. Corwell

David J. Corwell y Chavez's short stories are published in Tales of the New Mexico Mythos ("Encounter at Boca del Diablo"), Voices of New Mexico ("Gremma's Hands"), Dia de los Muertos ("Susto"), Tales of the Talisman ("Conqueror of Shadows"), and Cloaked in Shadow: Dark Tales of Elves ("Legacy of the Quedana"). His article entitled "Successful Book Signings: The Personal Touch" appears in Many Genres, One Craft: Lessons in Writing Popular Fiction, a USA Book News Best Book of 2011 and the first place winner in the General Nonfiction category at the 2011 London Book Festival. David's stories have won six national writing awards, including a Storyteller Award from SouthWest Writers, and many of the anthologies with his pieces have either been finalists or book award winners in various regional, national, and international competitions.

He is a member of Horror Writers Association, the New Mexico Book Coop, and SouthWest Writers, as well as a 2001 graduate of the Odyssey Fantasy Writing Workshop, a 2005 graduate of the Borderlands Press Writer's Boot Camp, and a June 2006 graduate of Seton Hill University with a M. A. in Writing Popular Fiction.

David is currently working on a collection of Southwestern supernatural tales, collaborating with two writing pals on a dark fantasy comic series, and getting around to revising his first fantasy novel.
