Stephen A. Reed is Professor of History at Santiago Canyon College in Orange California. He holds a B.A. in History and Spanish and an M.A. in History from the University of California, Riverside. He also holds an M.A. in History from the University of Notre Dame, where he has completed all the requirements for a PhD. but the dissertation (A.B.D.) He also studied for a year at the University of Madrid Complutense in Spain. He is currently a PhD, candidate at Claremont Graduate University,
He retired from a management position with the federal government (Social Security Administration) to continue a second career in college teaching. He was a professional soccer referee for ten years; the highlight of his career was as a fourth official in an international match, Mexico vs. El Salvador - played in the Los Angeles Coliseum. He has taught for over 20 years at many universities and colleges in Southern California including: Cal State Fullerton, Cal Poly Pomona and numerous community colleges. His publications include: "The American, French, Haitian and Spanish American Revolutions" (see picture of cover on Amazon), "Francisco Franco Was Still Alive" (Global Cal Poly Magazine), and "The Four Stages of the American Political Party System" published by Kendall Hunt Publishers (Picture of cover at right side of this page). Mr. Reed is currently a PhD. candidate in History at Claremont Graduate Univeristy in Claremont, California.
