Frank Griffin

Hello, my name is Frank Griffin. I was born in a small town in Dothan Alabama. At 17, I joined the Marines. After I was discharged from the Marines I moved to Houston, Texas. I worked as a plumber, and retired from Local Union 68.

I lived with a story that I never talked about until I met Governor John Patterson of Alabama, and Harry Franklin, editor of the Ledger Enquirer. My father witnessed the murder of John Patterson, father Albert Patterson. The elder Patterson was just elected to the office of Attorney General. My father was murdered by the mob the day he testified before the grand jury.

I was working in Dallas when President Kennedy was assassinated, and when Lee Harvey Oswald murdered officer J.D. Tippitt. I wittnessed that murder. I never gave a police statement, because I did not want to experience the same fate of my father.
