Welcome to my bio page - lovely to meet you here. I'm presuming you want to find out a bit more about my new book, Intuition at Work and how I came to write it.
I'm an award winning exec coach with 25 years' experience under my belt. I've often helped my coachees to short-cut a decision-making or creative process by getting them to tune into their intuition. Or to pay attention to it when there are potential warning bells. The great news is that there's plenty of robust research to show that intuition works and works well when you notice and learn to work with your personal intuitive cues.
I wrote 'Intuition at Work' so that a wider audience recognizes that intuition is something senior leaders use all the time. No-one will ever tell you that as you start your career or begin to make hard and strategic choices. In fact, it's often not talked about at all. But when you have an enviroment which is uncertain, complex and ambiguous, intuition is often the only technique at your disposal. BTW, I'm a great believer in analyzing your intuitions and using intuition on your analyses. For me this rich mix is the best.
My aim is to offer you lots of different tried and tested tools so that you can expand your intuitive repertoire. And I clarify the different contexts where intuition is invaluable. I also set out to illustrate how others use their gut feel which is why I interviewed over 60 successful and senior leaders. You'll find their stories throughout the book, illustrating the points I make.
Finally, there's a section on how to get unstuck because we all go there sometimes. While it's irritating, there are also lots of ways you can get round your blocks.
If you'd like to make further contact, do feel free to reach out on LinkedIn where you'll also find a group of us who are interested in intuition and how it works.
When I'm not at my desk, coaching or facilitating workshops, I like to walk my dogs in the woods or go to the beach. You'll find me doing that in SW France.
