Gladie Russell

Gladie Russell has served with her pastor-husband in several churches in Canada--from Quebec to British Columbia. In 1998, their twenty-three year old son pleasantly surprised her when he asked her to write a book about how they had raised them. It was a grateful moment.

Gladie felt she needed to start at the beginning and write about her growing up years to give background and insight into her family of origin, and to show the thread of God's grace through the years. These writing projects are ongoing and still in the works.

During this time, Gladie embarked on a spiritual journey and joy adventure of praying Scripture-based prayers. She discovered it to be a wonderful and effective way to pray Scripture into the lives of her family and others for whom she prays on a regular basis--and for those she doesn't even know.

This led Gladie to write her first book, Praying Through the New Testament. It is not a book about prayer; it is a book of prayer based on Scripture.
