Dwight L. MacPherson

Dwight L. MacPherson is a storyteller who maps the unsettling space where everyday life bleeds into the unknown. A former U.S. Army Combat Medic, he is the founder of Mad Scot Media and co-founder of Hocus Pocus Comics, having written for major publishers including DC Comics, Image, and IDW. Whether he is crafting dark fantasy, mystery, or horror, his narratives consistently strip away the familiar to ask what is actually happening beneath the surface.

His prose explores the fragile line between reality and the strange, grounding supernatural suspense with authentic, character-driven dread. This focus drives his debut novel, Welcome to Waadizi, Michigan, which introduces readers to a quiet lakeside town where people vanish and the rest of the world casually forgets they existed. When he is not uncovering the dark histories of isolated places, he lives in Florida with his wife, Rebecca, and their French Bulldog, Luna.
