Cate Howell

Dr Cate Howell OAM, CSM, CF is an Australian doctor, educator and therapist. She has combined her passion for mental health and wellbeing, and with her love of writing by becoming a published author in 2010. Dr Cate loves sharing information and practical tools with the community, and has written six books on depression and anxiety, counselling and intuition. She co-wrote my latest book, 'The Changing Man A Mental Health Guide', with her son Alex Barnard, a musician, educator and mental health advocate. Her new book is 'The Flourishing Woman A mental health and wellbeing guide', a holistic approach to addressing the key challenges women face today, including overcoming stress and anxiety, placing ourselves higher up our priority list, silencing self-criticism and managing reproductive and hormonal issues. Dr Cate will continue to spread the word about mental health and wellbeing through her practice, her teaching, social media (drcatehowell) and her website (www.drcatehowell.com.au). She lives in a small cottage with a wonderful garden, near the coast and the mouth of the Murray River in South Australia. She has a very supportive partner and two dogs, and enjoys walking, the garden, reading, and trips away with them all!
