John R. Mason

I’ve always loved science fiction, especially the British golden age of the 1970’s. So, when I began writing in the early 2000’s, it was the obvious genre to carry my musings. The ‘Olympus’ series of books followed, then a one off space opera.

A bit of background. My fine art degree from Liverpool Art College, led to the usual path of gaining some advanced dishwashing skills in a Lakeland restaurant, then to a variety of other interesting jobs before settling into computer design. At least this allowed me to be ‘arty’.

As far as writing was concerned, ten years had got behind me and I was tempted back with my latest novel, ‘The Calculation’ – an erotic science fiction romp, which is based around an app I created of the same name.
