Duane Lawrence

Duane Lawrence lives in Vancouver. B.C., Canada, where he teaches high school French and enjoys regular walks in Stanley Park, a large public green space in the heart of the city. It was during one leisurely stroll that he decided to write about the animals that live there. Duane also taught English in Japan for 9 years and was a high school French teacher in London, England, for one year. Besides English, Duane speaks French and Japanese.

His two books are: "Sammy Squirrel & Rodney Raccoon - A Stanley Park Tale" and "Sammy Squirrel & Rodney Raccoon - To The Rescue." His first book was one of the top 100 recommended books by B.C. elementary school teachers on the BCTF's (B.C. Teachers' Federation) 100th anniversary.
