Andrew Lamberton was born in York in 1945.He lived at Reaseheath, Nantwich, for 17 years, and was the son of J.K.Lamberton, Principal of the then Cheshire School of Agriculture. His father retired in 1966. Eleven years later, in 1977, after gaining experience in the dairy industry, he was appointed Lecturer in Dairy Technology at the same establishment, now called the Cheshire College of Agriculture. He started writing with a History of Reaseheath produced in 1985. The next was a local history book named Nantwich-Two Town Trails. In 1998 he produced a cheese textbook "The Texel Guide to the manufacture of Great British Cheese. In 2004 he collaborated with Robin Gray to write "Lost Houses in Nantwich." The following year after the sad death of Robin , he produced "Lost Buildings around Nantwich." In 2009 he worked on and completed, a book which was not printed at the time, on the Lost Halls in Cheshire. In 2010 he was asked to set up a History Group for his village where he lives near Nantwich and then in 2013 was editor of the next book "Willaston, the history of a South Cheshire Village." also out of print. He then edited a book on Willaston School, Nantwich,a small private school that ran for 37 years between 1900 and 1937.
In 2018 he collaborated with Bill Pearson and produced the book "Nantwich Pubs" that was published by Nantwich Museum. In 2019, he reissued a second edition of the "Lost Houses in Nantwich" book which was published by Nantwich Museum. It was produced in colour and contained many more photographs and 50 more pages.
In 2020, his "Lost Halls in Cheshire" book, featuring 77 Cheshire buildings, was published by Nantwich Museum.
