Amanda Perry

I am a New England native. Born in New Hampshire, but grew up in Vermont. My book is about my life's experience. I chose to start writing to manage the trauma I had been through, and manage things that were otherwise outside of my control. I talk about abuses that happened to me and how I regretted letting my abuser get away. If I can help just one person who goes through a similar experience to what I went through or even stop the kind of abuse I went through from happening to someone else. Then my mission for writing was successful. I hope to one day live in a world where power and control do not have an effect over our lives. That may never happen. What did happen is I choose not to be silent about my abuse and I am choosing to let my story be known even though the courts have denied my case. I have chosen that my abuser needs to be called out for the things that he did to me. Don't sit in silence and take the abuse. It will only eat you alive afterwards.
