> School teacher: no discipline

> Salesman: too nice

> Van driver: one burnt out, one stolen

> Revolutionary (as Colin Costa*): no one listened

* An anagram

Somehow he's sold over 13,000 books – probably through some kind of ordering error.

His best-seller is 'From the Mull to the Cape' (2008).

His latest is a third edition of the popular memoir 'Lead Us Not Into Trent Station' (2025), including five brand new chapters covering further episodes of confusion and chaos since the turn of the millennium.

Richard's 'Old Geezer's Dictionary of Irritants' includes the following entry

> me (author) pron. Tiresomely pedantic couch-potato who needs to get out more. Contributions to

travel expenses welcome.

Richard Guise also writes under the names George Quin (fiction) and Colin Costa (political polemics).
