Michael Collins

Hello I was born in Birkenshaw West Yorkshire, I went to Mirfield Secondary Modern school in the mid 60s, I wasn't very good at school and my Maths and Grammar were very bad. How I came to write a book 48 years later is a bit of an achievement for me and something I thought I would never do. Thanks to the internet I brushed up on my English grammar last year and with help from my sister Diane I completed my book. I joined the army when I was 17 and finished my service when I was 40. I met my wife Mandy in 2000 and was married in in 2003. As for the colourful characters you will meet on Alice's journey, you will either love or hate them. I served most of my time in Germany with the finest Cavalry Regiment ever The 4/7th Royal Dragoon Guards. These were without any doubt the best years of my life and friends that no amount of money can buy.
