Hassan Radwan is a retired school teacher. In 1984 graduated with 1st Class Honours in Arabic & Islamic Studies from SOAS, University of London, where his specialist subjects were Tafseer of the Qur'an & Pre-Islamic Poetry. He then obtained a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) from the University of Roehampton, Surrey and spent 30 years as a school teacher - 15 of which as senior Teacher at Islamia Primary School, London, founded by Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens.) He has written two short stories and two books of traditional folk tales adapted into stage plays for children. He also translated from Arabic to English, Ibn Taymiyyah's treatise on Hell, ("Response to Those Who Say that Heaven & Hell Will Pass Away") and Abbas Abdul Noor's book about his personal journey and loss of faith, ("My Ordeal with the Qur'an.")
