Vivek Iyer

Vivek Iyer was born in Bonn, F.R.G, in 1963. He grew up in Sikkim, Madras, Baghdad, Nairobi and New Delhi. In 1977, he came to London where he did his A levels and attended the London School of Economics between 1979 and 1982. He initially worked in the City of London before becoming an Economics tutor after which he began writing poetry and literary fiction. He started the 'Poetry as Socioproctology' blog in 2009. The book series 'Socioproctological Investigations' is based on this blog. Its purpose is to point a finger, from a safe distance, at academic assholes and to comment on issues in Philosophy, Social Science, Economics and Current Affairs.
