Frank Castle
Frank Castle is a part time author. Born in 1958 in Germany to parents serving in the Royal Air Force. As a young lad he was educated at military schools in Aden, Bahrain, Germany and a boarding school in Shropshire. in 1975 he passed his motorcycle test and so began a lifetime passion of all things two wheeled with an engine. He could easily top 25,000 miles a year touring around Europe.
Kicking his heels around Lincoln, he wandered into a Recruiting Office. 15 years travelling the world in the British Army and leaving in the rank of Sergeant, he accidently became a Police Officer with the Thames Valley Police in Berkshire, patrolling in Maidenhead, Windsor and Ascot whilst working part time as a motorcycle instructor.
Feeling depressed after he was stabbed, he resigned his warrant card and wrapped himself up in leathers to continue mototorcycle teaching full time before getting a 'proper job.' As an AA/ Vodafone traffic reporter he rode mototorcycle around the motorway networks in southern UK sending our live traffic reports.
Better pay was needed after getting married and as a foot and motorcycle surveillance operative catching fraudsters he worked all over the UK, ireland and Spain. Promotion followed and as a Field investigator, dealing with Insurance fraud, some arson, some theft but mainly 'cash for crash' claims.
Hollywood beckoned! Frank bluffed for six weeks as the mule handler on the set of Gladiator, the Ridley Scott Oscar winning blockbuster, but Frank didn't get the tea and medals he so richly deserved!
A friend, sent him a desperate message once, the magician she'd booked for her big pharmaceutical companies annual ball had let her down. She had seen Frank do silly card tricks in the pub, so was obviously desperate, but it worked out very well and it was a successful evening of close up magic. Professional Magician was now added to the CV!
The contacts he made with the Insurance companies, encouraged him to set him up in business as a Private Investigator in his new home in West Cork Ireland, where his late wife Elfreda Grace was from.
It was from these life experiences that Frank bases his books.
He is single and lives quite happily in Lincoln City in England.
