Rama Malone

Rama Malone is a painter, poet, and artist who paints with children.

In this book, she tells the true tales of days spent painting under the trees with young artists, at the Saturday farmers' market on Anastasia Island, in St Augustine, Florida.

Rama's art has been exhibited in many parts of the world, including Ireland, Switzerland, Crete, Greece, and Wales, United Kingdom, as well as California and Florida, in the United States.

The first book she wrote and illustrated, Turtle Woman and the Sea King  was published in Wales in 1995.

As an Artist-in-Residence in Ireland, Rama created arts programs for schools. Her fresh, hands-on approach and simple methods inspire children to explore their own original art.

Today Rama lives in Jacksonville, Florida, where she paints beautiful pictures and sings and writes songs each morning.

She is preparing to record an album of her songs and to publish her books of poetry and tales.

Rama travels to paint with children, sing her songs and to design gardens, as she receives invitations from people in different parts of the world who know and love her work. She presents arts events for children and their families in private homes, schools, libraries, and community groups.

Her arts events connect people of all ages with the magic of their surrounding world, inspiring them to open their awareness through painting--and see with new eyes.
