P. Kelly

Prof Phil Kelly (DBA, MBA, MA, BSc (Hons), SFHEA, FIRM), formerly advisor to Asia's highest paid CEO, worked for over 20 companies in almost as many countries prior to becoming a Senior Lecturer at Liverpool Business School (LBS)- where he is now a Reader in Management. Having completed his Doctorate in Business Administration, at one of Europe's leading business schools, he went on to teach at a range of Universities. An experienced lecturer, he has an MA (distinction) in teaching and learning in Higher Education and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In 2012 the Vice Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University presented Phil with an excellence award in recognition of distinction in teaching. Phil has written several books, 'Management Theory and Practice' 8ed, published in 2015, is a well known text utilised on numerous management courses and degree programmes. In 2009 he wrote 'International Business and Management' and in 2013, 'the Business Environment' all published by Cengage. Presently, Phil teaches on a variety of postgraduate management degree programmes at LBS. He is supervising a number of PhD students, and is a Principal Examiner with the Institute of Risk Management (IRM).

Phil wrote the new edition of the ICSA text book, "Business Management in Practice" published in 2017. He is also a joint author of the Routledge Companion to Risk, Crisis and Security in Business (2019) and has just completed the 9th Ed of his Management text. He remains research active, regularly submitting articles to management journals.
