Born in Belgium, Suzanne inherited her love for cooking from her mother and a country where cooking rituals are a feast every day. Suzanne states, "In Belgium, food is a cause for celebration. Its cuisine is historical gastronomic. We are passionate about good food. Belgians are gourmands who enjoy eating and sharing food together at the table with friends and family."
Although she didn't pursue the culinary arts at first, (instead she graduated in International Business) she immersed herself into the food and wine world with moving to California, Bay area 20 years ago. Throughout her international travels Suzanne always has been intrigued by cultures and their cuisines. Her food passion is clearly expressed in her enthusiasm and her elegant entertaining style with a definite European flair. She founded Worldchefs International LLC where she conducts International cooking classes for several schools around the world and corporate teambuilding events where she shares and passes her passion on to her students in class, hoping that her food excitement rubs off on them. "Food is all about having fun, expressing yourself and making people happy, and that is my mission in life" she states." Suzanne defines her culinary style as global, with strong Mediterranean influences.
She also is the founder of Bay Area "Kona Kai International Women's club", which meets on a monthly basis to share international foods and cultural information.
Suzanne graduated top of her class as a Sommelier certified by the Guild of Sommeliers and is passionate about global food and wine pairing. She conducts private and public Food and Wine pairing events/ workshops, and operates as an international wine consultant.
