Peter Robinson

Peter Robinson spent much of his childhood and youth in Liverpool during the 1960s and returns regularly to visit family. He is Professor of English and American Literature at the University of Reading and poetry editor for Two Rivers Press. The author of many books, he has been awarded the Cheltenham Prize, the John Florio Prize, and two Poetry Book Society Recommendations. His Collected Poems 1976-2016 is published by Shearsman Books, who have also recently released The Personal Art: Essays, Reviews & Memoirs (2021), Reports after the Fire: Selected Poems of Pietro De Marchi (2022), and Peter Robinson: A Portrait of his Work ed. Tom Phillips (2021). Liverpool University Press published Poetry & Money: A Speculation (2020) and, now in paperback, Poetry & Translation: The Art of the Impossible (2021). His most recent collections of poetry are Retrieved Attachments (Two Rivers Press, 2023) and, in the USA, Return to Sendai: New & Selected Poems (MadHat Press, 2023).
