Sarah Green

Sarah is a former Literacy Content Specialist for the Education Endowment Foundation (UK) and continues to work with them and their national Research School Network. She is also a member of the Department for Education's Expert Advisory Group for Secondary Literacy, supporting senior leaders in their national English Hub Network to implement new approaches and systems for supporting reading in secondary schools. Alongside these national roles, Sarah is a Trust Director for Literacy working across mainstream and special secondary schools within Prospere Learning Trust in Manchester (UK).

Sarah has been an English teacher and school leader for 22 years, and has extensive experience in middle, senior and trust-wide leadership. In her trust leadership role, she provides school-to-school leadership support for senior leadership teams, specialising in evidence-informed professional development, English curriculum and whole-school teaching & learning, with a particular focus on improving literacy, oracy and SEND provision – inclusive and adaptive practice.

In addition to this, Sarah works as an independent educational consultant – The Literacy Coach – providing keynote speaking, training, leadership coaching and literacy reviews for schools and trusts in the UK and internationally. She is a Voice21 National Oracy Leader, an Evidence Lead in Education, and a Teacher Development Trust Associate.
