Patrick Ashe is an elder millennial, nonprofit manager, rock guitarist, and lifelong writer. He has published four books and has voluminous notes for eight more. While writing in disparate genres, including coming-of-age, science fiction horror, and poetry, Ashe has unifying themes, such as scouring modern conflicts for meaning and upending sociopolitical paradigms. As noted in TVTropes, he often uses artful plot twists and rock music references.
Since Ashe's debut in 2020, readers have ordered a total of over 21,000 of his books. Two of his novels were IndieReader Approved and one was featured by Kirkus Reviews. North Carolina Bards have included his poetry in three annual anthologies, and he has medaled in several poetry contests.
A graduate of Appalachian State and Indiana University, Patrick published an honors thesis on political communication in 2004 and presented original regression research on child psychosocial health at the 2013 National Smart Start Conference. He also taught Analysis & Evaluation at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for four years, garnering high ratings from students and alumni.
Patrick lives with his spouse and children in Western North Carolina.
