Brian Jackson

Brian Jackson is a Yorkshireman, born in UK. He shares a love of theatre with his wife and has won several drama awards for productions including 'The Diary of Anne Frank' and 'The Dock Brief'. He has also written and produced award winning entries in the National One-Act play festival. In 2012 Brian appeared onstage at Stratford on Avon in an RSC drama project.

His production of 'Anastasia' won the NODA award for Best Play of 2016 and he won the award again with his production of Emlyn Williams' play 'Night Must Fall'..

In addition Brian is a novelist. His first book, 'The Tears of Autumn' received 5 star Amazon reviews and triggered emotional responses from readers ('...as I write there are tears welling in my eyes...'; '...reading the last pages I cried...'; '...I wonder if you realise the emotions you raise in your readers...'). 'The Tears of Autumn' has been followed by an illustrated children's fantasy 'The Butterfly Princess'.

'Sleepers Awake', (4 Star review) a dramatic love story based upon real events was followed by 'The Unacceptable Face', (another 5 star novel) which exposes the unacceptable face of abuse, not simply confined to domestic abuse but also the catastrophic impact of abuse in the workplace.

Brian also has four collections of poetry to his credit and is regularly invited to give readings. Now they have been published together in an anthology 'ECLECTICA' which has been enthusiastically received ('This is a gem of a book...')

'Boy's Tales' is a collection of short stories set in childhood in 1950's Britain, also available to read on Kindle.
