Tim Minshall

Tim is the Dr John C Taylor Professor of Innovation, Head of the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) and Fellow of Churchill College, University of Cambridge. His academic work explores links between innovation and manufacturing. He is a director of IfM Engage Ltd and Møller Institute Ltd, Non-Executive Advisor at NCC, and Chair of the Foundation for Young People’s Mental Health. He wrote Your Life is Manufactured, a Waterstones, Financial Times, and Daily Telegraph 2025 book of the year, shortlisted for the 2025 Royal Society Trivedi Science Book Prize and longlisted for the 2025 Financial Times and Schroders Business Book of the Year.
