Jack Debney

Jack Debney was born in Cheshire in 1941 and brought up in Grimsby, where his mother’s family was long established. He was educated locally and then at Leeds and Warwick Universities. He was a lecturer in English in Alexandria, Egypt, in Athens, Greece, and in Marburg, Germany. Jack Debney is married, with two children and three grandchildren.
