Steve Ince

Steve Ince is a writer and artist with three decades of development and writing experience. He works in a freelance capacity with a variety of clients across the globe as well as authoring a broad range of books.

Steve gained a nomination for Excellence in Writing at the Game Developers Choice Awards for Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon and received a second nomination from the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain for his writing on So Blonde.

Steve’s book, Writing for Video Games, was published by A&C Black and has sold throughout the world, sometimes used as a text in game writing courses. His new book, An Introduction to Game Writing, will help anyone get to grips with the basic ideas of game writing and interactive stories.

Regularly invited to speak at conferences around the world, Steve enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience.

His short film, Payment, was released a few years ago to critical acclaim.

The Quinton Quads and the Mystery of Malprentice Manor is his first children’s novel. He has also written an urban fantasy novel, Blood and Earth, a children's picture book, Amanda Alexander and the Very Friendly Panda, a graphic novel, Story to Nowhere, and released a collection of his Mr. Smoozles comic strips.

He has a pet cat called Xena.
