Kay Lovell was born in London just before the start of the Second World War. Surviving the Battle of Britain the family then moved to the Midlands. But it was always her wish to live in Cornwall. This is where the biggest part of her life was, now she lives in North Wales. Her first book Wobbly Witch and Kiki, was a huge success with the younger generation, several schools adopting it as their reading material. Since then there have been other books. This new one is about the War, some of the experiences described did actually happen. I talked to a lot of different people, and of course there were my memories from my family too.
You wouldn't have believed that a Londoner born of real Cockney parents would ever love horses. but I did, for 40years practiced the art of breeding and riding. Years I am so glad that I had. Horses are so much fun. Read my other book, a true story 'Live the Dream.' author name Kay Millward. A real tear jerker.
