Georges Poisson

Georges Poisson was a curator of museums and principally the museum of Ile de France at the château in Sceaux in Paris where he created a center for historical archives. He is active in many cultural associations for the preservation of monuments such as the house of Emile Zola at Médan. Mr. Poisson has lectured widely on the history of architecture and has published major works such as L’Elysée, historie d’un palais, among many others and several books of literary history on Saint-Simon and Choderlos de Laclos; the Orléans royal family and Napoleon in 2004 with the Retour des cendres de Napoléon and now the Retour des cendres de l’Aiglon. A winner of the Académie française prize five times Georges Poisson is also a commandeur of the Legion of Honor. He is now retired and lives in Paris.
