Robert J. Alonzo

Robert J. Alonzo, P.E. is a registered professional electrical engineer, in practice for more than 40 years. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University. His area of practice has been in the specification, design, testing, and commissioning for electrical power generation and distribution equipment and facilities in residential, commercial, industrial, and marine projets. He has provided electrical engineering for power generation and distribution projects for both onshore and offshore petroleum facilities in the United States and Internationally. Practice in those areas of design has required the development of expertise in power generation and distribution electrical engineering codes and standards. That expertise provided the basis for the information included in his book "Electrical Codes, Standards, Recommended Practices and Regulations - An Examination of Relevant Safety Considerations". Mr. Alonzo is also the author of the book "Electrical Safety for Petroleum Facilities."
