Professor Iyer is the Susan Bulkeley Butler Chair in Operations Management at Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. He is the Department Head and Senior Associate Dean at the Krannert School of the Management. He is also the Director of DCMME (Dauch Center for the Management of Manufacturing Enterprises). His teaching and research interests are operations and supply chain management and his research focuses on analysis of supply chains in the areas of spare parts, auto components, the grocery industry, retail and the fashion apparel industry.
His books include Smart Manufacturing The New Normal: A TP3 Strategy, Managing Supply Chains, Toyota Supply Chain Management, Managing Supply Chains along the Silk Road and Orchestrating Supply Chain Opportunities
Ananth Iyer has a PhD from the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech, an MS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Syracuse University and a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay.
