I was first published in 2008 when I was lucky enough to get a multi book deal with publishers The Friday Project, which then became part of HarperCollins. When that contract came to an end, I found that I had loads of books already written, but no deal to get them out there, which is when I stumbled across self-publishing.
Amazon KDP has given me a platform to sell my books to a global audience, and it enables me to scratch my creatuve itch and do what I love doing, namely writing stories. People ask me what genre I write in, and my answer is always a vague one. I write stories, and I don't really give much thought to what genre that story might be until after I've written it.
If those people were to slightly tweak their question and ask me what type of stories I like to write, my answer is much more clear. I like to write comedy-sci-fi-adventure stories with interesting and varied characters that I generally fall in love with (even though they themselves might question my definition of "love" seeing as I'm constantly putting them through helll and risking their necks every other chapter.)
Just like my characters, why don't you come along for the ride?
If you like Victorian detective fiction with a twist of Indiana Jones, you might like the Cornelius Quaint series.
If you like comedy-apocalyse-sci-fi with a hint of Hitchhikers' Guide, may I recommend the Above His Station series.
if you like smart and intelligent fantasy quests with a modern twist, go for The Light of Darkness.
Whichever one of my books you decide to read, I thank you.
If you would be so kind as to leave a review on Amazon to share your thoughts too, I would be eternally grateful.
