Allan Plenderleith's first book for children, THE SMELLY SPROUT, has become a best-selling Christmas classic and he has since published 11 more children's titles including THE RUDE ROBIN, THE BONKERS BANANA, THE TINY TREE, THE SILLY SATSUMA, THE BOY GIANT, PRINCESS CHOCOLATE, THE CHICKEN AND THE EGG, THE SNOWMAN STRIKES BACK, THE CHRISTMAS CARROT and TEDDY CHRISTMAS.

He is also a scriptwriter for children's television, and has written episodes for many top pre-school shows such as Tree Fu Tom, Thomas & Friends, Noddy in Toytown and Horrid Henry.
