Eliza Graham

Hi, I’m Eliza. For twenty years, I have been trying to bring history to life through emotional storytelling. What would it feel like? is my opening question to myself when I write about people confronted by the extremes of warfare, or even its everyday dullness and deprivation.

I live in Oxfordshire, with my husband. People always say they like walking and reading, but I really do! I'll bury myself into a non-fiction book about the last Czar or the history of the Middle East but I also like rubbishy TV on winter nights—series so bad that even the dog walks out. Passionate about reading and history, I studied English Literature at Oxford University. My novels include the bestsellers Playing with the Moon and The One I Was. My books have been translated into German, Norwegian, Italian and Portuguese.
