Ed Arre

Ed Arre is the pen name for Ed Regenye, a native of New Jersey writing fiction full time in Hampshire, England.

A former newspaperman, public relations and marketing consultant, Ed worked in New York and London before retiring to St. Maarten in 2007 where after10 years he and his wife Judith were blown out of their home by Hurricane Erma. They currently divide their time between Hampshire and Guadeloupe.

Ed began the Carsagian series several years ago with Deadline, followed by Meat Market, The Fourth Horseman, and his most recent, High Jingo in 2026.

In addition to the Carsagian Caribbean series Ed has also published on Amazon a two-book series: Terror and Rapacious and the stand-alone Lightfoot which earned a short listing by the Crime Writers Association.

Another stand-alone, The Prisoner, a topical docu-drama was based around an international incident. He later updated the story with a second edition to accommodate the real-world situation as it evolved.

In his early novels Ed had increasingly incorporated familiar characters and places in his work to make the novels more appealing to those who are familiar with St. Maarten. In Rapacious, a supporting character role was auctioned for charity, and Ed successfully wove the man’s characteristics and life experience into the fabric of the story much to everyone’s delight and enjoyment.

In Meat Market, a story about illegal organ trafficking, the book features a special cover design based on a dramatic portrait by acclaimed Caribbean impressionist Sir Roland Richardson.

Ed will continue to expand Michael Carsagian’s saga while developing other story opportunities.
