A born romantic, Jenna Hines has finally followed her dreams. As a child she spent all her spare time in the public library, engrossed in stories of romantic fiction that enthralled her. In her early teens, she craved to write her own stories, but it was much later in life that Jenna found the opportunity to fulfil her ambition. Victorian/Edwardian history had always captivated her. She re-familiarised herself with the era and began a new career, writing romantic stories set in the period. Jenna also writes stories for children and poetry for all.

A whodunit tale set in the mid eighteen hundreds and early-mid nineteen hundreds

A young girl goes missing in the mid-eighteen hundreds.

Many years later, Lady Grace Darlington, a widow takes her usual morning walk in Baluain Forest in Perthshire, close to where she lives at Baytree Manor. She stumbles across some old bones that her Dog is frantically digging up. She calls the local Sheriff, who cordons off the area. Sheriff Angus Jameson investigates but unfortunately, he is unable to identify the human bones and the case is closed. Thirty-two years later a young couple, Thomas and Rosie Anderson who purchased their first home, after their marriage in 1920 go for a picnic on a beautiful summer’s day and take a walk in the woods with their two sons, Michael and Samuel. They discover some old bones and wonder if they are animal or human. They contact the Sheriff, a young man who has only recently been promoted to the position of County Sheriff for Perth and Angus. His name is James Patterson. He instructs his deputy to arrange for the bones to be sent to the forensic lab, where they discover a connection to the bones found in a similar place in 1898.The case which Angus Jameson closed is now re-opened and a new inquiry is launched, which reveals some vital information that both shocks and scandalises the local community.

Jenna has published her latest novel "Alice Disappears" an enthralling tale of mystery and suspense set in the early eighteen hundreds in Herefordshire, England.

Meredith and Connie Rudge, live in a quiet village in Herefordshire. Attached to their house is an annexe which over the years descends into a state of disrepair. A vagrant has been wandering around the village unseen, but when young Isabelle spies him one day when she is coming home from school, she tells her mother. When WW1 breaks out, most of the men are called up, but what has happened to the old tramp? Fanny Byrne, an ex-land girl befriends Connie and Alice. On a visit to see Connie one day, they call at Alice’s house to find she is not at home. When Alice Morgan goes missing, her cousin, Emily Waldock is more than concerned for her safety and visits Alice’s friend Connie to see if she can help to find her. Isabelle now works in Hereford as a nanny with three young children in her charge. One weekend she visits her parents in Pembridge, and is overwhelmed to discover that something horrific has occurred inside the Annexe.

Latest novel by Jenna is now available to buy in both paperback and Kindle versions. " The Mystery of the Old Bones" is a new genre for her. It is an historical mystery novel with a thread of romance going through it. A young girl goes missing. Several years later some Old Bones are found in the woods and the Sheriff investigates but cannot solve the case. Many years on, more old bones are discovered. The original case is re-opened and a new inquiry is launched, which reveals some vital information that both shocks and scandalises the local community.

December 2021

Jenna has just finished her eleventh novel. " Love of a Different Kind" which has a romantic thread running through the story dedicated to LGBT- Lesbians.

"Mahonys Choice" was published early in 2021- An Irish family Drama.

In 2020 Jenna finished "Cold Dawn at Neva River" - An historical novel set in Russia in the eighteen hundreds.

2019- "Stolen Moments" was completed. A missing boy, a Gypsy family and heartbroken parents form the main elements of this Historical novel set in both England and Romania.

"Candle Trees" published in 2019 has a paranormal theme and is set in Western Australia.

" An Australian Dream" was written and published in 2017- Will the sisters in this novel ever see each orher again?

Her latest work is a semi-biographical trilogy "The Mill Owners" based broadly on her Grandfathers life, who was a wealthy Mill Owner in Dumfries, Scotland in the late 1800s.

Jenna's début novel "Annie Logan" was self published in 2009 and tells the tale of a young girl who aspires to be a concert pianist. Her second novel "The Quest of Miss Postlethwaite" is an historic, drama/ adventure, romance.

Two books written for children by Jenna; "Kids, Creatures and Curios" is an illustrated book of prose and poetry for those under six and "Blood, Capers, Fate and Phantoms" is a compilation of four awesome tales that would suit children between 8 -12 years.

A collection of Jenna's own and her brother's poems, "Scribbling Siblings," is another of her works.
