Anne Parsons

In writing this book, I found my own Pot of Gold. Initially, I had wanted to write a book for grandsons as a keepsake, however, during the creation the creation of my book I discovered a belief in own talents and myself. With suggestion of my daughter and son, I decided to illustrate the book myself. One creates characters when writing and their images are what propels one forward in describing their journey. They live with you in your mind. Illustrating these images to paper brought all my characters to life.

I graduated with an Art degree from Mary Baldwin College. Later in life I returned to school for my nursing degree from Fairmont State University. For almost twenty-five years I have worked as an Operating Room nurse. My love for art and writing has continued to be my passion and at last, I have been able to combine the two. During my career in nursing, I have strived to give quality patient care through a compassion that helps them in their road to recovery. In writing, I have learned to create a story that gives to the reader an inspiration to believe and imagine.

I continue to work as a nurse in Reston, Virginia and live in Charles Town, West Virginia. I enjoy my home amongst the hill with my dog, Emma. My family continues to be my treasured possession. Visit me on my website www.authouranneparsons.com
