Susana Cory-Wright

Susana Cory-Wright was born in Canada of a Spanish father and English mother. She read Modern Languages at University College London before working as a Spanish translator first at Landor Associates and then as a freelancer for pharmaceutical companies. She has an MA in creative writing and a PhD from De Montfort University. She is the author of two historical novels: 'The Catalan House' set against the backdrop of the Spanish Civil War and 'The London Wife.' 'Lady Tree: A Theatrical Life in Letters' formed the basis of her doctoral thesis and 'Maud Beerbohm Tree Lady of the Stage' is a biography of the Victorian actress of the title.This last was first published in 2017 by Legenda, the Modern Humanities Research Association book's imprint for new research in the Humanities. In 2019 it was published in paperback. She is passionate about opera, travel and theatre. She has three children and lives in Winchester with her husband and youngest son.
