Tim Harrison

Tim Harrison is a journalist, playwright and author.

He has written features for The Times, Daily Telegraph and The Economist, and written news, sport and features for practically every local newspaper in west and south-west London. He has also worked on the BBC's Question Time programme since 2000.

In 1979 and 1980 he wrote for the first three issues of Viz comic.

In the early 1990s he was editor of Florist Trade Magazine and Florist's News, contributing to Superhints for Gardeners (Michael Joseph, 1993).

In 2005 he wrote the Rough Guide to Chelsea (Penguin, 2005) - a wry history of the football club's ups and downs - which sold 15,000 copies.

He helped write and edit the Rough Guide to Superheroes (Penguin, 2004), and also helped edit the other seven football Rough Guides in the Penguin series, on Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle, Celtic and Rangers.

One of his poems appeared in Reflections On A Town, a celebration of Luton, in 2008.

He has written many plays, which have all been performed at the cornerHOUSE arts centre in Tolworth, Surrey. They include The Royal Wee (2001), Jack Allcock's Sponge (2002), Skyrats - a tribute to the London pigeon (2003), Back to Basics - the story of John Major and Edwina Currie's affair (2004), Quiz (2004), Lucky Gym (2007) and Sudokuholics Anonymous (2009).

He has also appeared in numerous plays, including pantomimes over 25 years at the Ellerton Hall, Tolworth, and the cornerHOUSE.
