William Ayot

I was raised in rural Hertfordshire. I worked for many years in London's casino industry, until I crashed and burned. I then underwent a personal transformation, and rejoined the world as a poet, teacher and ritualist. I've worked in rehab and prisons, led rites of passage and taught in board rooms and business schools around the world. My writing includes the play "Bengal Lancer" and three collections of poetry including "E-mail from the Soul", which won the People's Book Prize in 2013. My new book, "Re-enchanting the Forest: Meaningful Ritual in a Secular World", is a labour of love. It was written for modern, non-spiritual people who don't 'get' ritual, yet yearn for something deeper in their lives.
