Nicholas Halliday

Nicholas Halliday was born in London and grew up in Surrey. He studied at Epsom School of Art and Design, Lancashire University and Kingston University. Following his graduation from Kingston with a BA in Graphic Design, he worked as a designer and illustrator. His first book 'The Lonely Tree' was launched to universal acclaim and ever since he has run the independent children's publisher HallidayBooks producing original children's titles. Nicholas is a patron for the children's charity 'Jigsaw4U' and works closely with other charities including 'Child Bereavement UK' where The Lonely Tree is used extensively.
