Matthew Biggs

Matthew Biggs is a gardener, writer and broadcaster with forty successful years in horticulture. He trained at Pershore College of Horticulture and was a diploma student at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where he won the Lecturers Prize for Best Taxonomic Thesis and an award for the Best Student Lecture at the Mutual Improvement Society. He is renowned for his enthusiasm and passion for plants of all kinds and interesting stories.

He is a long standing panel member on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Gardeners Question Time’, co-presented ‘Garden Club’ on Channel 4 TV for 95 episodes and is in demand as a leader on gardening and plant related tours worldwide. He lecturers regularly to garden clubs and societies, writes for many of the major gardening magazines and is author and co-author of 15 books on gardening and related subjects, includes 'Lessons from Great Gardeners' and 'Secrets of Great Botanists'.
