Hi, thank you for visiting my page. I am (in this order!) a Jesus-follower, wife, mum, grandmother, pastor and author. My life was radically changed by an encounter with Jesus Christ at the age of 21, and I have wanted to serve him ever since. I am married to the wonderful Nick, who has been my best friend for 46 years, and we have a lot of fun with our beautiful daughter, our son-in-law and four gorgeous grandchildren.
Together with my husband Nick we have led several churches, ending in 2022 with five years leading RiverLife International Church in Bern, Switzerland. Early in our married life we began working with both UK based and international students. Many of them went out in mission or ministry of various kinds and this gave birth to a missional group. Firelighters was a mission which sought to support all the guys we had sent into ministry, which formed a family of people who all wanted to love God and change the world. Firelighters continued to support its members until many of them were in leadership themselves and were resourcing others, but they are still our extended ‘family’ in so many ways.
The TIDE Course (Training in Discipleship and Evangelism), written and taught by myself, was filmed in 2002 and has been run in over 35 countries. It is now on YouTube, but it came directly from the teaching we gave our students which led to them going out to change the world for Jesus Christ. Seeing lives changed is really what excites me most, whether they are healed from hurts and emotional scars, physically healed by God, humbled and made clean from the past or freed from fear, I love seeing people come to Christ and find that he is the same today as he was in Bible times, and still does the same things.
My book, The King’s Gold, was published in 2008 and still available on Amazon, and my latest book ‘Second Fiddle’ is a 40 day devotional book to be used by individuals or groups. So many people feel so unimportant to God and others, that I wanted to write about 40 world-changing people in Scripture, who were not major characters on the whole, but whose lives were world-changing.
