Born in Portsmouth, Britain, but now living in Flagstaff, AZ, I have been a life-long aviation enthusiast and scale model maker - my first airshow was at RAF Leuchars in 1969, and my first model was the old Airfix Messerschmitt BF 109G about a year later.
I have written and contributed to a number of modeling-related books, and I have a number of projects on the go. Although my primary interest is aviation, I also enjoy photography and travel. A new outlet for my writing is a novel set in WWII Dalmatia; this is a long-term project that I hope will publish in a few years.
In addition to my books, I wrote a regular column for ten years on classic aircraft kits for Scale Aviation Modeller magazine, as well as other feature articles for both SAMI and Model Aircraft monthly. More recently, I have written for Scale Aircraft Modelling magazine.
I am married to Danielle and we have a daughter, Robin, three Shelties and two lovebirds.
