Felicity Hansen

I now live by the sea in a picturesque village on an island off the west coast of Scotland. I share my home with a Siamese cat and the community of bears who feature in my Kindle story "Inside Out - autobiography with a plush bear".

Before I retired I worked as a stained glass artist and made a series of panels for a small church on the island. I taught stained glass classes for residents of the island, and I also taught computer classes offered by the local college.

On World Book Day in 2001, I was invited to go to our local school and read my story, The First Bear, to a class of junior school pupils. It was a very enjoyable day for me, especially when one of the puplis read her own story to us as well. Later the class wrote a small report about it for the local newspaper.

I love bird watching. There are many rare and unusual species here, and each summer I make a trip to some of the outlying small islands where puffins and other sea birds breed.
