Chris Hunt

Chris Hunt writes about football and music. His 2026 touchline memoir Doing It For The Kids told the story of his 12-year journey through grassroots football with his son, while his book World Cup Stories was published to accompany a BBC television series in 2006. He was the editor of sporting encyclopedia, The Complete Book of Football, which was published in the UK, Australia, the USA and in five foreign language editions, including Russian and German.

He once wrote a column for Your Cat magazine. He has also been the editor of special editions of Mojo, Q, NME and Uncut, including five magazines about The Beatles. He was the original editor of the world's first monthly rap magazine, Hip-Hop Connection and he also enjoyed almost a decade as editor of Britain's biggest selling football magazine, Match.
