Alan Avery

Alan Avery was born in Hampshire, England and spent his early years in Singapore before moving to Yorkshire. He has been a teacher in England, Spain, Denmark and Germany and was an officer in the British Army. He settled in Yorkshire where he established the Blackthorn Press and began writing plays, many of which have been performed both locally and nationally. He is married with three sons and two grandchildren.
